Crowdfunding Academy for Entrepreneurs Affected by Conflict in Donbas

_____________________________________________

Crowdfunding is a collective funding of projects by various people online.
In fact, it is not only about money: it’s about communication between people,
and support of efforts to strengthen and develop communities.

This project is implemented within the UNDP Ukraine Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme with financial support of British Embassy in Ukraine.

Goal of the project - to rally all available resources to help improve the livelihoods of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities throughout Ukraine.

International experts from UNDP Alternative Finance Lab and Terra Hub NGO, who created the concept of Crowdfunding Academy, together with trainers from Spilnokosht Lab – the educational program for promoting Ukrainian crowdfunding Spilnokosht at Big Idea taught entrepreneurs from Donbas how raise funding for their businesses using online tools and innovative methodologies.

To be admitted to the Crowdfunding Academy, participants had to describe their business idea and specify the required investment. The experts have selected the most interesting and socially relevant projects from more than 85 applications from IDP-entrepreneurs. The selected business ideas vary from the production of traditional Ukrainian carpets to interactive mobile application.

12 projects, that you can see here, received further support and mentorship in launching the campaigns, creating videos and infographics. Currently 8 of the projects are planning to  launch crowdfunding campaigns on Spilnokosht and the remaining 4 on the Indiegogo crowdfuning platform. Links to all the campaigns once launch will be available on this website.

Share and support the campaigns that are contributing to integration of IDPs  and to economic development of Donbas in a new and creative way!

All your contributions will go directly to the businesses. If you feel that you can support any business in other ways, please feel free to contact us and we will put you in touch.
